To provide support for families and community groups who want to be the locus of control for their children's education and development. To help families step away from institutionalized (and antiquated) learning models and establish home learning routines and rhythms that support children to be happy, healthy, whole and curious.
If we believe that all children can learn, then we need to believe that all families can teach. Our philosophy is grounded in a family-first model that returns the locus of control back to the family and helps them assert what they need for their own learning, development, and relationships with children, communities and partnerships.

Erin has been a certified educator and change agent in schools since 2000. She specializes in building programming for traditionally underserved learners and for the past 10 years has been educating her family while working within a diverse community of home learning families who are seeking something engaging, innovative and healing for their families that is different than the local school options. She is an instructional coach for alternative learning experiences and offers workshops to hundreds of families every year to support their transition into and successes in home learning.

LWS is your partner in educating your child independent of institutionalized learning models. It is an educational resource, in the form of a coach, thought-partner and guide, who is well versed in supporting families to re-engage in healthy frameworks of living, learning and growing. LWS questions the dominant culture of more, better, faster and works alongside families and community groups to re-establish learning frameworks that are family-centered, nurturing and responsive to a changing world.
