About Learn Without Schools
The Guide
Erin has been a certified educator and change agent in schools since 2000. She specializes in building programming for traditionally underserved learners and for the past 10 years has been educating her family while working within a diverse community of home learning families who are seeking something engaging, innovative and healing for their families that is different from the local school options. She cares deeply about maximizing human potential and autonomy and has decades of experiences honing her craft on the east and west coasts and abroad. She is an instructional coach for alternative learning experiences and offers workshops and coaching to hundreds of families every year to support their transition into home learning and ongoing successes with that choice.
Our Partners
We work with a diversity of family and community groups locally and abroad. Our client partners tend to have a history of seeking something alternative in their learning and tend to prioritize less mainstream pathways for their children's development. This often includes prioritizing the arts, craftsmanship, nature and cycles, world travel, seasonal work, shared family living, skills sharing and learning as liberation and social justice. We get to love and support all these families.
Our Products
We offer a variety of learning formats to engage, inform and elevate individuals and community groups who seek to educate their children in ways that anchor youth to family values and local funds of knowledge. Our workshop series offer scaffolds to build strong home learning practices while our community partnership series supports creating learning pods and our one-on-one coaching helps families meet specific learning goals.
